Do you remember the mirrored Hawaiian prints from the Stella McCartney Resort 2012 collection that got everyone so obsessed late last year? I do. Previously associated with fashion-forsaken tourists who flocked to the tropics for the sun and sea, it became the print du jour for the first quarter of the year. What came as a greater surprise to me is that I actually like it myself. Try as I may, I cannot quite put a finger on the why but I know that it has a lot to do with the symmetry of it all. Everything looks nicer when they are symmetrical, right? Perhaps, that will also explain my fondness for this very loud bandeau maillot (SGD219) from Seafolly. The latest 2012/2013 swimwear collection features the brand’s signature retro-chic silhouettes that I adore. Trust me when I say that the twisted/ruched front detail is a godsend for the less-than-well-endowed boy-girls (such as moi).
The 2012/2013 swimwear collection will be available in Seafolly stores progressively from July 2012 to January 2013.
